Question Meme
Mar. 4th, 2012 02:26 pm Shar gave me these questions :)
1) What's the scariest roller coaster you've ever been on?
I actually had to sit and kind of really think about this. Scariest in terms of height/speed are Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka. Currently the tallest coasters in the US If you don't count Superman at Six Flags Magic Mountain (There's debate as to if it's a coaster or not for this LJ entry it's not, but my stance is if it's on coastercounter.com it counts). These rides are short, but they are over 400ft high and there's always a chance of a roll back with these rides too. So that makes them "scary"
Then there are the "flying coasters where you are on your stomach. The ones where you are in a cage are awkward just because there's that much more room to bang around, but the scary ones have to be Superman: Ultimate Flight. It's just awkward to me have that much faith in a restraint, because all your weight is against it. But it's the closest to actually flying so once you lose yourself in the flying moment, the fear goes away.
2) Where in the US have you not visited but would like to and why?
Most of the US. I've been to every state on the east coast, and few others spattered throughout the rest of the US. But I think I kind of want to see Mount Rushmore though. And the Grand Canyon. As to Why, they photograph so well, and they are like some of the things in the US you should see before you die, so yeah, that's why I want to go see them.
I'd also like to visit the Pacific Northwest as well. Seattle and Portland. I don't know why, but still I want to visit all 50 states.
3) What's the best book you've read so far this year?
So far I've only read a bunch of kids books. I go through phases where I just want to read them. I'm in that phase now. But I did read Pulled Long by Christine D'Abo a nice m/m story with some steamy sex scenes that I was like ohh I wish this was longer.
And the books that can give me hours of amusement and appease my inner 5 year old are the Farts: A spotters guide books. (They have little push buttons and it demonstrates different types of farts. Funny how a book about farts can be the ultimate stress reliever).
4) What are you most looking forward to at the minute?
This minute I'm looking forward to finishing cleaning my apartment, because it's almost clean and almost presentable. My mom won't have a holy shit fit when my aunt and cousin come to visit.
And Chris won't have a heart attack either when he comes to visit.
